In 2022, Cedar Rapids Pride presented at 1 Million Cups in Cedar Rapids, Iowa, where we connected with their team and were inspired by their mission to celebrate Pride year-round.

Discovery

Attending Pride Meetings

In the months leading up to Pride Fest, our founder attended Pride planning meetings to understand the vision and community goals. During the first year, we captured the festival and after-party on video, producing a showcase piece designed for ongoing use in promoting future events.

Parade Participation

Cedar Rapids Pride takes part in multiple parades throughout the year. The Halloween parade holds particular significance, as one participant shared that the event’s genderfluid celebrations provide many nonbinary and transgender individuals with their first opportunity to truly express themselves.. 

Fundraising

Raising the Bar

As Cedar Rapids Pride expanded its mission beyond the annual festival to offer year-round programming, they sought to increase their fundraising capacity. We produced a post-festival video capturing the energy of the 2022 celebration, helping to inspire ongoing support and contributing to fundraising results surpassing $100,000.

International Day of Trans Visibility

Cultivating Awareness

For the International Day of Trans Visibility, we produced a video featuring local trans man Oliver and intersex advocate Storm in an open conversation about their experiences, hopes, and dreams for the future. Centered on themes of inclusion and acceptance, the piece offers a humanizing and heartfelt look into the lives of LGBTQIA+ community members.

Photography

Documenting Performances

Each year, we capture both photography and video of multiple performers on the outdoor stages and during the late show. Additionally, we provide professional photography for VIP ticket holders during meet-and-greet events, ensuring every moment is documented with quality and care.
