Roots and Recipes
Empowered Solutions Collective hired Murdock Media Production to help students refine stories and produce audio and video shorts as part of the 2892 Miles to Go storytelling project funded by the National Geographic Society.
Storytelling gave participants the opportunity to reflect on food traditions they carry with them and to describe how those traditions shape them and influence who they are and who they want to be.
Double Up Texas Program Expansion
As Sustainable Food Center launched a statewide marketing effort for Double Up Texas, they partnered with Murdock Media Production to assess the market, develop strategy, and implement a comprehensive communications plan.
We conducted stakeholder interviews, crafted a detailed campaign strategy, and executed an omni-channel campaign that reached over 3 million Texans. The effort concluded with a two-year actionable plan, providing a scalable framework to sustain and grow the program in the years ahead.
Cedar Rapids Pride
Cedar Rapids Pride expanded its programming beyond the annual parade and festival to include monthly activities, fostering a stronger sense of support and community for LGBTQIA+ individuals in the area.
Murdock Media Production supported the organization with strategy, photography, and video production, helping CR Pride grow its annual fundraising from approximately $60,000 to over $100,000.
Sustainable Food Center Website Copywriting
In 2024, Sustainable Food Center of Austin, Texas realized it was time to revitalize their website and content. As the nonprofit looked back, they realized much of their content and online traffic was coming from gardening content, a service area that had been foundational to the organization, but that was no longer a primary service.
Murdock Media Production was engaged to help consolidate the website from hundreds of pages down to 25 pages while simultaneously increasing the on page copy, SEO optimization of the site, and the brand values expressed in the content.

SEO remains one of the most significant yet least understood components of website development. The ability for search engines to find your content and to meaningfully match it with search results is influenced by a combination of technical, content, and third party linking factors.

We expanded participant diversity in the production and leveraged grassroots strategies to engage thousands of local viewers while minimizing ad spend.
Summer Studio: Marketing Event Strategy and Management
When The Art Institutes sought a creative leader to craft engaging, memorable learning experiences for prospective students, our founder led program development and implementation.
By designing thematic content and capturing the process through photo and video, campuses gained assets to showcase program quality year-round.
The results spoke for themselves. The most common question from students at the end of an intensive work day, “Can we have more time today to work on our project?”
Pip Decks Affiliate Marketing
Pip Decks provide tools for business innovation, communication, and strategy. As an early adopter and affiliate marketer, we took a different approach from many other affiliates. Rather than hyping how fast and easy work becomes, we pointed to how engaging the challenges are that arise in business, and how valuable it can be when founders and their teams dive into complex work.
Our promotional messaging highlighted the thought processes, insights, and collaboration that come from engaging the recipes and steps outlined in the cards.
By being pragmatic in our approach, those who were interested, but were skeptical of the hype could better evaluate the decks. Our content led to thousands of purchases by satisfied customers.
